It's Cherry Time

The cherry crop is huge this year. One of the biggest we have had in this area. These are sweets. They will be starting harvest this week in most areas.

Here are some Montmorency tart cherries.

Oooh, those are sure pretty. Mine are all 3 foot tall and no limbs. Someday if the borers will leave them along. I love cherries.

I guess the squirrels and birds haven't discovered your delectable cherries yet. I hope they never do!
My Dad has lots of problems with pests and has to put netting over his entire tree! Pain!
Enjoy those cherries!

Yummy-yum-yum-yum! Summer is my favorite time for these wonderful pit fruits (cherries, plums, apricots, nectarines). Mmmmm, I'll be right over for a piece of home-made pie!

Yum... what a fantastic harvest you'll have! Do you have any plans for them yet?

Nothing says summer more than those luscious looking cherries. I'd have to make a pie.

They aren't mine. I wish. I work in cherry orchards all summer. 20 farms in all. Everyone has a bumper crop this year. I do plan to harvest some to make pies and freezing.

These look delicious! My dad just gave me a pound of cherries this week, I've been eating them nonstop.
