Hi there Stephanie, I love your banner photo! I've never grown daylilies before but admired the many varieties posted on blogs.
Spookily, yesterday I bought one and it looks very like the one in your banner! Officially as it arrived on the 16th it wasn't included in my Bloom posting... thanks for leaving a comment it has brouhgt me here :-D
Old barns make for some of the best pictures. I keep telling myself to take my camera and photograph many of the old barns here on the island. Perhaps when my garden is not requiring all my attention, I will get the job done.
I love little baby ducks, old pick-up trucks, slow-moving trains, and rain I love little country streams, sleep without dreams, sunday school in may, And hay And i love you too
I love leaves in the wind, pictures of my friends, birds in the world, and squirrels I love coffee in a cup, little fuzzy pups, bourbon in a glass, and grass and i love you too
I love honest open smiles, kisses from a child, tomatoes on the vine, and onions I love winners when they cry, losers when they try, music when it's good, and life And i love you too
Im a from the mitt a.k.a. Michigan. In Manistee County. I grew up very close to Lake Michigan, surrounded by lots of lakes, streams, and rivers. I currently live in NC and had to leave my gardens in MI. It's very hard to move away from my home. Everything from family, friends, gardens and all things familiar are there. I return to my mothers house in MI every summer to play in the dirt. Im lucky to have a place to keep my gardens.
I have around 600 var. of TB irises. They are my absolute favorite. I also grow peonies, roses, hellebores, clematis, grasses, ferns, hostas, and whatever else i can get my hands on. I grow many things from seeds. I haven't had a good veggy garden in a while but someday will have a grand one.
I am a born and raised gardener. My parents owned a small greenhouse operation when i was an infant. My parents practically raised me in the greenhouses. Explains the "home" sensation I feel when entering greenhouses.

I would love it too! It sure looks like a great place to start my perennial nursery. The old red barn is perfect!

Wow, thats like barn sized manure! I love, love how an old barn looks too. Nothing man made fits into nature as much as they do.
I love those things too. Maybe the last thing most of all. lol
I am with you!

How pretty those view are! I love it when someone stops what they are doing just to simply take in their surroundings! Great shots~
