I used my camera phone a lot last year but wish I had realized how great the pictures came out on it. I would have used it a lot more! I had no idea that they could be so clear. I finally had my boyfriend upload them on to the computer last night and I'm so excited to finally get to share some pics with all of you.
These were all taken during my Orchard Scouting days while I was in MI.
A sunflower field in full bloom in Central Lake.
A little closer.
One of the vineyards that we scout. It is very large as you can see.
A bundle of grapes in early September.
Lake Leelanau at sunset.
More incredible sunsets throughout the year.
A tiny rainbow I managed to catch while I was driving through a sweet cherry orchard.
My most prized photo. I was heading into the woods for a bathroom break (no toilets within many miles) when I almost stepped on this little fawn. Probably only a day or two old in early May. I continued to see this little guy throughout the entire summer in that same peach orchard each week.
White Morel mushrooms. I was working hard that day...picking mushrooms! Everywhere I went that day I was finding morels!
A carpet of Trilliums. They grow thick in the woods of Michigan. This is on the out skirts of a tart cherry orchard in Northport.
It's hard to believe!
Tart cherries in full bloom above a carpet of dandelions.
A perfectly manicured orchard in the spring.
An incredible storm cloud.
The largest puff ball mushroom I have ever seen. I have heard that these are edible at this stage.
A bunch of honey bees.

Lovely pictures! I especially like the grapes!
What great shots. The sunsets are beautiful and I have never seen so many sunflowers before. It is beautiful. I love morel mushrooms, yummy. They are just starting to come up here.We need some warm weather now after all of the rain.
The picture of the fawn is so sweet.
Beutiful photos! The two that struck me are that amazing sunflower field, all I can say is Wow! And the low hanging sky of storm clouds, so ominous, you can feel the storm coming.
Those are great photos! I love the sunflowers and the fawn.
I think I need a phone like yours. Beautifuy photos and I love, love, love that fawn. My husband runs into them all the time, I have never seen one so small. Amazing!
WoW! They were all incredible. So many sunflowers, so many trilliums, so many dandilions (well, guess I've seen lots of those in my yard), the fawn was just sweet and how lucky to get that shot. The storms were great too. Good job!!!
What fabulous photos! I had no idea phones were capable of taking this type of shot. The little fawn is a treasure, to be so close and it so vulnerable, it sends chills down my spine! Really, they are all wonderful memories of your adventures. The sunflowers are so cheering. Thanks for showing us.
Frances
What amazing pictures you have here !
I love the sky shots especially ... and all of those trillium .. stunning .. In Ontario you can choose a picture of sorts with you car plates .. I chose a Trillium .. now I will always think back to those pictures of yours ! : )
They did come out really good. Those trilliums are awesome!
First, I am jealous of the fact you get to spend so much time outdoors. Second, those are some awesome pictures from a cell phone.
Keep 'em coming!
Beautiful
Wow your cell phone does take good pictures! They're fantastic. My favorites are the fawn, the orchard in bloom, the giant mushroom -- well, all of them. :) Thanks for sharing these. They're wonderful.
I wanted to add about the first sunflower photo -- that one couldn't have turned out better. It looks like a lake of sunflowers, with some closer to the surface than others.
These wonderful photos are from a phone camera? You're right, they do come out great! I love the sky pictures, but the sunflower field..WOWZIE!
Beautiful pictures! Beautiful Michigan. :)
I love the sunflowers field ! :)
I just have to learn how to play around with my phone camera, too!
That's all very cool stuff. And you know what--you have beautiful hands. Perfect actually.
Hey---did you know there is a plant sale at Tanglewood tomorrow ;) You need more.

Wow! Double Wow! Impressive photos...I loved the rainbow shot, but it's hard to not be moved by a fawn. Which phone are you using I want it. gail
These pictures are so lovly.I have one question.I have a small garden, the plant(especially, those flowers)is it better for them to stay in the garden or leave them in the flowerpot?
Thanks all for the nice comments! Its a Motorolla Razor. Nothing to fancy but it works. The camera is 1.3mega pixel so it's pretty good. I plan on taking tons of pics this summer with an actual camera but many more great photo ops to come!
Wow, you took those with your phone camera?!! Awesome pics, and it looks like your experiences were, too!
BEAAAAUTIFUL pics! All those sunflowers remind me of trips back to Kansas to visit my relatives.
I love the close up of the fawn - he wasn't scared?
