When I arrived at the place I was a bit shocked at how bad the living conditions were. The people had at least eight cats and a few dogs too. The house smelled awful and there was garbage everywhere. The cat litter boxes were overflowing so of course the cats had taken to just going where ever they wanted. I grabbed two female kittens and got outta there.
Andrew was not as excited as I had hoped. In fact, he was pretty much annoyed that I brought home kittens. We contacted AARF to find someone to adopt them but luckily, by that the night, after a few beers, he was smitten with the kittens.
We jokingly named our two little girls 'Mouse Hunter 5000' and 'Paul'. Ridiculous, I know. I hate to think that that will remain their names but at the same time it's a bit funny.
They are quite the pair. Play, sleep, eat, play is their daily routine with emphasis on playing. They enjoy string, crumpled paper, laptops, cords, chairs, books (when you're reading them), Christmas trees, ornaments, plastic bags and boxes to name a few items.
I'm thinking that we're going to enjoy having our little friends around.

First off, they are adorable. The pictures of Paul sleeping are too funny, as are the names, which you know are going to stick.
I'm glad you adopted them and got them out of that house ... sounds pretty bad.
And lastly, I love the opening picture. Who doesn't need some sunflowers in their life in the middle of winter?
What sweet (and lucky) kittys! We rescued two kittens last spring from the pound...little girls, too. They were named Garth and Voltaire! Not your typical kitty names. I am so glad that yours have a nice home now! Carla

These cats are very cute! Glad you took them from those awful people too. I'm sure they have a good home now!
My cats both came to us as adult strays, we named Grumpy wrong as when I first picked him up he scratched me pretty bad, now Grumpy just does not fit such a sweet cat.

They are so cute! Maybe the trick to getting my husband to agree to a kitten is to give him lots of beer first :)
When we bought our dog I was also pretty surprised at how bad it was at the house. We even took her a couple of weeks early because I couldn't stand to think of her being there any longer than she had to.
