wow, lots of different kinds of cows! I must admit...I miss the cows...and the barns... and the farms...and the countryside back home near Grand Rapids Mi.
They look like they're saying "Where's the grain lady?" Our neighbors used to have long-horned cattle and I and my horses miss watching them. The pony I have was kept with a Hereford calf between the time she was weaned and we bought her. That calf -- named Moofer -- was pretty cute!
When we had cows here my favorite time was in the winter when they spent a few hours a day on a field of winter rye or oats. I would herd them out of the field when time was up, wearing my cowboy boots (Wellies). We got old and so did the cows, so finally they had to go.
One did knock me down once and I had two fractured vertebrae, but I healed.

Hi Flowrgirl1! I love cows, too. But I'd run fast if I saw them (those on the third picture) so close to me! You are a brave one!

I love cows too...especially when I'm not down wind, lol! Great photos, Kim
My FIL is a dairy farmer. But I don't know anything about dairy farming other than the cows get milked somehow.
What did you give them to eat when they got to you?
